From startup to scale up Momentio

Cause

The story behind Momentio began in 2008, when Raymond, owner of RayOrganisatie, lost his sister. Her son was 14 at the time. Although we were able to record her last wishes, lasting memories for the future were missing. How special would it have been if my nephew had received a message for his graduation, his first home, living together or a birthday? From this thought and wish for lasting memories, the idea for Momentio arose: an online platform on which important information, last wishes, memories and legacy can be recorded safely and easily. This allows survivors to focus more on the grieving process and the beautiful memories that have been left behind.

Analysis

In 2021, Momentio started an extensive analysis of user needs and survivors’ wishes. During this phase, insights were gathered through conversations with a multidisciplinary team and potential users, leading to a clear picture of the necessary features and security requirements for the platform.

Strategy

The analysis resulted in a strategy with a clear vision: inspire as many people as possible to leave lasting memories and record essential information for survivors. Momentio opted for an Agile approach, developing the platform in biweekly sprints. The aim was high productivity and a secure, scalable solution that was set up ''Cloud Native and serverless''.

Implementation

During the implementation, a dedicated team of software developers, testers, a cloud architect, a UX designer and a product owner worked closely together. The Agile approach resulted in a platform that was refined and optimized after each sprint based on user feedback. This created a secure and user-friendly platform in which users can easily record their wishes and legacy.

Satisfaction

When evaluating initial user feedback, it became clear that Momentio added a lot of value to users, but that some users needed guidance to get started. To help them get started, process guidance was integrated into the platform. Step-by-step suggestions are provided from a central dashboard, so that users can easily find their way and start capturing their memories and important information.

Growth

With the improved version, Momentio was able to further position itself as a reliable platform for recording legacy and memories. The number of users continued to grow. Momentio went from a startup to a scale-up. The platform was increasingly recognized as the solution for survivorship management. Due to the growth, Momentio has become an inspiring platform that helps people to record meaningful memories for future generations.

Momentio is now used by large international organizations and private individuals.
